Job summary

Rising Edge Group is hiring an Electrician Apprentice to install and maintain low and high voltage equipment in a substation, gaining hands-on experience with ground grids, structural erections, and power system equipment assembly. You will assist with installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance under supervision.

The role emphasizes safety and adherence to E.U.C. Safety Codes Act, with rotations and potential for camp accommodations for out-of-town projects.

Qualifications

• Must be indentured into Electrical or PSE trade.
• Knowledge of Electrical Utility Code and Safety Rules.
• Valid provincial driver's license with good record.
• Experience with Windows/Office and test equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day substation construction activities.
• Work with high voltage equipment (circuit breakers, transformers, switches).
• Install time-sensitive network and power cabling; document circuits.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine repairs on substation equipment.
• Develop work scopes and draft procedures under supervision.
• Comply with safety practices and maintain reports.
