Job summary

Rising Edge Group in Terrace, BC, seeks an Electrical Apprentice to assist with installing and maintaining low- and high-voltage equipment in electrical substations. You will gain hands-on experience under a Journeyperson Electrician, learning grounding grids, structural steel, and HV equipment assembly.

The role requires knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code, a valid Class 5 license, willingness to travel within British Columbia, and the ability to work in various weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Registered Electrical Apprentice (Construction or Industrial Electrician) with preference for Industrial Electrician stream.
• Solid knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) with BC Amendments and WorkSafeBC rules.
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License with good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day substation construction activities.
• Work with high-voltage equipment including breakers and transformers.
• Install time-sensitive network and power cabling; document circuits.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine repairs.
• Develop work scopes and draft procedures; ensure safety compliance.
• Maintain test and maintenance reports under supervision.
