Job summary

Rising Edge Group is seeking an Electrical Apprentice to support installation and maintenance of low- and high-voltage equipment in substations across British Columbia. You will learn grounding grids, structural steel erection, and power systems assembly under a Journeyperson, with travel and safety at the forefront.

Candidates should be registered as an Electrical Apprentice (Construction or Industrial) and able to travel, with a valid Class 5 license and comfort working at heights.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Electrical Apprentice (Construction or Industrial).
• Knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) with BC Amendments and WorkSafeBC rules.
• Able to travel within British Columbia and work out of town when required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation and maintenance of low- and high-voltage equipment in substations.
• Support grounding grids installation and structural steel erection.
• Troubleshoot, repair and maintain high-voltage transformers and substation gear.
• Install and document circuits, cabling, and power systems.
• Perform routine preventive-maintenance and urgent repairs as needed.
• Follow safety practices and work under a Journeyperson Electrician.
