Job summary

Rising Edge Group in British Columbia seeks an Electrical Apprentice to support substation construction and maintenance. You will assist with high- and low-voltage equipment installations, grounding grids, and power system components under a Journeyperson Electrician, with travel across the province.

The role requires knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code, a valid Class 5 license, and comfort with heights and remote sites. Company offers comprehensive benefits and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Registered Electrical Apprentice (Construction or Industrial Electrician) preferred.
• Knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) with BC amendments.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Experience with Windows and Office; test equipment is a plus.
• Experience operating construction equipment (skid steer, mini excavator, manlifts etc.).
• Able to work at heights and travel out of town as required.
• Able to work in adverse weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation and maintenance of low- and high-voltage equipment in substations.
• Support grounding grids, structural steel erection, and power system equipment assembly.
• Help install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain substation equipment.
• Assist with substation construction activities and field documentation.
• Follow safety practices and assist journeyperson Electrician on site.
