Job Description

Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI), a leading power engineering consulting firm, is seeking a motivated individual to join our San Diego or Ontario, CA office as a designer. ECI specializes in engineering services to electric utilities (substation, protection, transmission), alternative energy systems, communication, oil/gas, mining, and heavy industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing electrical and physical design work for electrical substations ranging from 12 kV to 500 kV.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical and physical design work for substations
• Drafting for assigned projects when required
• Support other projects as needed
• Resolve AutoCAD software operating issues
• Establish AutoCAD environments per client requirements

Minimum Requirements

• College degree or two-year technical certificate in computer-aided drafting/design
• At least 15 years of CAD and design experience
• Expertise in AutoCAD; working knowledge of MicroStation
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Results-oriented with the ability to work independently and in team environments
• Attention to detail, quality, schedule, and budget awareness
• Occasional travel may be required
• Must meet ECI's auto insurance requirements
• No sponsorship required for employment visa now or in the future
