Wood is recruiting for a Project Engineer, Substations to join its Transmission & Distribution business. This opportunity is hybrid and is based in Sarnia, ON.
This role involves the technical coordination of high-voltage substation projects from conception to construction. The Project Engineer, Substations will lead engineering coordination efforts, manage project schedules, oversee procurement and construction activities, and ensure compliance with industry standards and safety practices.

- Electrical Engineering Degree from a recognized university.
- Canadian Professional Engineering Designation (P.Eng.) or eligibility to register with PEO.
- 8-12 years of substation electrical experience in a Transmission & Distribution Utility or EPC organization.
- Experience coordinating substation designs with other disciplines such as structural and protection & control.
- Strong understanding of regulatory codes and standards, including CSA, NESC, and ANSI/IEEE.
- Proven field experience with outage planning, construction sequencing, and commissioning is an asset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the United States is considered an asset.
