Job summary

Xylem is hiring a Shop Technician Level 1 in Ontario to evaluate and repair submersible wastewater pumps (Flygt). You’ll perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, operate shop equipment, and document activities in the work-order system.

A strong safety mindset and teamwork are essential as you support field and branch operations. The role offers a full benefits package, PTO, health, dental and vision coverage, and a company savings plan.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems.
• Proficient in MS Office and basic digital tools.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, repair, and test submersible wastewater pumps.
• Operate shop equipment like forklifts and cranes.
• Use hand and power tools and maintain records in the work-order system.
• Maintain a safe, organized work environment and respect company property.
• Collaborate in a team or work independently as needed.
