Job summary

A marine adventure company in Newfoundland and Labrador seeks a Submarine Pilot and Marine Technician to manage and operate a fleet of submersibles. The ideal candidate will have five years of experience in heavy marine and private yachting sectors, with strong mechanical skills and the ability to operate sensitive marine equipment. This position offers an excellent opportunity for personal and professional growth, requires current Canadian citizenship, and involves significant travel. Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience in heavy marine offshore commercial industry.
  • 5+ years’ experience in private yachting adventure/exploration industry.
  • Current Canadian citizenship and a valid driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and operate the fleet of manned submersibles.
  • Perform regular maintenance and operate complex systems for dive operations.
  • Maintain complete technical records and logs for submersibles.

Skills

Experience working on a yacht
Analytical and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Operating submersible vehicles
Basic seamanship
Positive and energetic attitude

Education

Bachelor’s degree in hydrographic survey, oceanography, marine sciences, or related field
