Position

Master Mariners – Polar Certified Captains

Location

Newfoundland & Labrador (travel required)

Your Role
  • Command CAC’s fleet during groundbreaking expeditions and research missions.
  • Oversee vessel operations, safety, compliance, and client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate on developing world‑class exploration hubs and charter routes.
  • Lead Arctic and Antarctic missions, including treasure recovery and marine research.
  • Manage crew, logistics, and high‑value cargo operations in extreme environments.
Qualifications
  • Transport Canada Master Mariner Certificate (500 GT, 1200 GT endorsement) with Polar Operations Certification.
  • 15+ years managing research explorer ice‑classed expedition vessels, deep‑sea submersibles, and polar operations.
  • Proven leadership in safety, operations, and client relations in remote settings.
  • Experience working with high‑net‑worth clients and luxury charters.
  • Multilingual (English + French, Mandarin, Spanish, Arabic or other languages) preferred.
Working Conditions
  • Operate in extreme climates and diverse environments.
  • Extensive travel aboard ships, submersibles, helicopters, and floatplanes.
  • Thrive in challenging, dynamic conditions where adaptability is key.
