Aramark is seeking a Student Food Services Worker to join the Dal Food Services team in Halifax, NS. You will support food prep, safety compliance, and delivering friendly customer service to campus guests.

No prior experience required, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential. This role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to safety standards, and flexible scheduling on campus.

Qualifications

• Food service experience an asset.
• Valid WHMIS and Food Safe (Basic or Advanced), First Aid Certification is an asset.
• Knowledge of high standards of food safety and hygiene.
• Additional certification may be required by work location.
• Ability to work effectively supervised or unsupervised.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for outstanding customer service.
• Ability to work well as part of a team for smooth operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and builds food items according to recipes and directions.
• Stores food properly according to standards.
• Sets up workstations including prep tables and service counters.
• Breaks down, cleans, and sanitizes workstations.
• Serves food to customers while ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Replenishes food items and stocks products at appropriate levels.
• Maintains excellent customer service and positive demeanor toward guests and colleagues.
• Adheres to safety policies and sanitation procedures.
• Ensures security of company assets.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepares and builds food items according to standardized recipes and directions
• Properly stores food in accordance with standards
• Sets up workstations including prep tables, service counters, hot wells, steam tables, etc.
• Breaks down, cleans, and sanitizes workstations
• Serves food to customers while ensuring guest satisfaction and anticipating the customers’ needs
• Replenishes food items and ensure product is stocked to appropriate levels
• Maintains excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guest, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
• Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including food safety and sanitation
• Ensures security of company assets
