Job summary

Inter Pipeline Ltd. in Calgary seeks a Transportation Accounting student to support month-end processes within the Transportation Finance team. You will join a collaborative environment, reporting to the Supervisor, Transportation Finance, and contribute to daily accounting tasks.

Responsibilities include posting entries, generating reports, maintaining calendars, assisting audits, and preparing invoices. Strong MS Office skills and SAP experience are valued; Power BI knowledge is a plus.

• Maintain the month-end close calendar for the team and other groups.
• Provide support in pulling evidence for ongoing audits.
• Assist in creating billing invoices to customers.
• Prepare account reconciliations.
• Clear balance sheet accounts in SAP for open items.
• Assist with creating AFEs in SAP for annual Risk Based Planning (RBP).
• Other projects as assigned.

Description

Located out of our Calgary office, the Transportation Accounting student will report to the Supervisor, Transportation Finance. The successful candidate will be a member of the team assisting with Transportation Accounting functions.

Key Activities And Responsibilities

• Preparing and posting the month end accounting entries

Education, Skills And Experience

• Post-secondary student who has completed their 2nd or 3rd year in university or college from a Business, Finance or Accounting program
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, communication and organizational skills
• Well-developed interpersonal, team, and customer service communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Intermediate to advanced MS Office Suite computer skills
• Ability to set and meet deadlines and work independently
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, deadline oriented, growth environment

Additional Preferred Skills

• Previous office experience
• Experience with SAP - FI and MM modules (S4/Hana preferred)
• Power BI knowledge

Hours
