Description

Located out of our Calgary office, the individual in the Student, Analyst role will support Business Development, Commercial Operations and Finance teams in the Transportation Business Unit. The student will be responsible for providing and supporting professional, accurate, and well communicated analysis, recommendations and reporting.

Key Activities and Responsibilities
  1. Support in generating various reports, analyzing data and identifying trends and insights to drive sound business decision making
  2. Assist with creating and managing financial models for existing assets and new projects
  3. Participate in annual business budgeting and planning activities including consolidating and verifying inputs from stakeholder groups
  4. Compile economic analysis into clear and concise business case recommendations
  5. Assist in reporting preparation and reviews for monthly and ad-hoc deliverables
  6. Perform research and due diligence to support business opportunities and financial forecasting
  7. Maintain up to date documentation, track and communicate initiative status and prepare presentation materials for internal meetings
  8. Ad-hoc tasks and analysis
Education, Skills & Experience
  1. Pursuing a diploma or degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting
  2. Financial modeling and DCF modelling experience is an asset
  3. Experience analyzing large sets of complex data is an asset
  4. Exceptionally high level of focus on quality of work and attention to detail is required
  5. Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret and communicate financial and business analysis
  6. SAP and PBI experience is an asset
  7. Excellent interpersonal, analytical, time management and organizational skills
  8. Strong team orientation balanced with the ability to work autonomously to drive outcomes
  9. Ability to work well in a fast-paced growth environment
Hours

Monday-Friday, full time

As this position is identified as security sensitive, employment of a final candidate will be conditional upon completion of a criminal background check with satisfactory results.
