Job summary

Elk Island Catholic Schools is seeking Bachelor of Education students to join our team as Casual Educational Assistants in schools across our communities, including Sherwood Park, Fort Saskatchewan, Camrose and Vegreville.

You will support teachers and staff in fostering student growth—instructional, behavioural and social development—while gaining valuable classroom experience in an inclusive environment that values dignity and safety.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a Bachelor of Education student from a post-secondary institution.
• Experience working with children or youth
• Ability to build positive and professional relationships with students and staff.
• Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills.
• A commitment to student safety, dignity, and inclusion.
• Seeking practicing Catholics with an Alberta teaching certificate (or be eligible for).
