Job summary

Magna Exteriors in Canada is seeking an IT student/co-op to join our IT operations. This role focuses on hardware setup, user support, and application maintenance for business systems, with emphasis on security and Go Live readiness.

You will monitor devices, assist with testing, document procedures, and provide on-site support outside regular hours. Prior IT coursework and interest in technology are essential.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary IT degree/diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent English communication (written and verbal).
• Familiarity with Office 365 and other business applications.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure security compliance of computers and mobile devices.
• Support testing (functional/integration) and Go Live preparation for IT projects.
• Support users with business applications, phones and hardware.
• Setup and maintain hardware including scanners, printers, copiers, cell phones and computers.
• Responsible for setup, troubleshooting and maintenance of business applications.
• Document and maintain phone lists, IP addresses, etc.
• Provide backup support for Systems Administrators to resolve user or production issues.
• Ensure that all Systems procedures are carried out in accordance with the BOS manual.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace in IT areas.
• Provide on-call and on-site technical support outside regular hours.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Post-secondary degree/diploma or equivalent in IT with at least second year completed.
• Excellent English communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with computers, printers, cell phones and network switches.
• Familiarity with Office 365 and other business applications.
• Familiarity with SQL, Power Apps, Power BI, and scripting.
• A definite interest in technology, computer hardware & software.

DESIRABLE ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Automotive manufacturing experience

MAIN TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Compensation: $24.40 - $27.58 per hour

• Monitor and ensure security compliance of computers and mobile devices.

• Support testing (functional/integration) and Go Live preparation for IT projects.

• Support users with business applications, phones and hardware.

• Setup and maintain hardware including scanners, printers, copiers, cell phones and computers.

• Responsible for setup, troubleshooting and maintenance of business applications.

• Responsible for documenting and maintaining phone lists, IP addresses etc.

• Provide backup support for Systems Administrators to resolve user or production issues.

• Ensure that all Systems procedures are carried out in accordance with the Mytox BOS manual.

• Maintain a clean and organized workspace in IT areas using effective housekeeping practices.

• Provide on-call technical support and on-site technical support for Mytox Personnel outside of regular business hours as required.

• Adheres to all Mytox safety rules and regulations.

• Any other reasonable request by management.
