Job summary

LensCrafters in North York, Canada, is seeking a Student Optician for a casual part-time role. Under a Licensed Optician, you will help customers, take measurements, and support fittings while delivering Signature Customer Experiences.

You’ll develop optical skills, educate on adjustments, and use store technology including tablets to assist patients and ensure accurate service and a polished store presentation.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in Opticianry program.
• Optical dispensing experience.
• Knowledge of current optical theory and merchandise.
• Knowledge of current store merchandise assortment and Inventory management systems.
• Strong communicator and listener.
• Sales skills – ability to use IPAD / tablet.
• Comfortable with technology to engage patients, customers and associates.

GENERAL FUNCTION

The Student Optician creates exceptional value in the lives of customers by delivering Signature Customer Experiences. Ensures customers are always delighted by performing the key steps of our selling model. Develops the optical skills of others and creates an effective learning environment.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Currently enrolled in Opticianry program
• Optical dispensing experience
• Knowledge of current optical theory and merchandise

• Comfortable with use of technology to engage patients, customers and associates.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Actively studying LensCrafters Final Inspector Certification
• Actively studying LensCrafters Quality, Fitting and Adjusting Program
• Previous experience in customer service and retail

Pay Range: 17.60 - 0.00
