Position Title: Student Mobility Officer
Status: Regular Part-Time Support
Hours: Up to 24 hours per week
Faculty/Department: Office of Recruitment and Student Mobility
Campus/Location: North/Lakeshore Campus. The successful applicant must be comfortable working on-site (at either the North or Lakeshore campus) at minimum three (3) days per week
Minimum Starting Salary: $32.61 - Max $37.81
The Office of Recruitment and Student Mobility supports prospective students considering Humber. We act as the first point of contact for new and existing Humber students as we deliver impactful and high-quality programming to high schools, colleges, universities and the community raising Humber’s profile and increasing awareness of our program and pathway options. As a collaborative team , we work with learners thinking of starting their journey at Humber as well as those looking to add to their previous professional and academic experiences through a new and exciting pathway. Under the direction of the Manager, Student Mobility and Pathways, The Student Mobility Officer develops, coordinates and processes transfer credits and prior learning assessments in support of previous related academic and work experience. As part of Humber’s Strategic Plan to Enhance Student Choice by: Expanding Degrees and Pathways, the incumbent is the subject matter expert on transferability and pathways amongst Humber to Humber, and non-Humber to Humber courses and program options.
The incumbent provides information and communicates with prospective students, applicants, guidance counselors, parents, faculty, and college administrators regarding a broad range of transferability options. They will analyze and recommend solutions or enhancements to transfer related processes, advocate and support students with transfer credit enquiries and options. Additionally, the incumbent will update communications and training documentation both in hard copy and online when information is revised, or new information is obtained regarding transfer credits, pathways, Letter of Permission, and Prior Learning Assessment Recognition. Through training sessions, the Student Mobility Officer will train staff on new initiatives, revisions to the current process and highlight Ministry changes that impact transferability opportunities.

A three-year diploma/degree or equivalent in Business/Public Relations.
