  • Research problems independently and propose practical solutions.

About this opportunity

Some degree of development experience with any of the following would be considered a bonus: Powershell, Webservices, API, Network Basics.

Basic knowledge of software development lifecycle concepts

Activities:

Involvement in the design/development/support of new and existing applications (both on premise and cloud platforms)

Assisting in the gathering of requirements for new applications- includes collecting and analyzing existing documentation, reviewing with Subject Matter Experts & writing specification documents

Perform routine management/support/reporting tasks as they relate to applications (both out of the box and custom development) under our control

Working with other team(s) in system troubleshooting of the application problems

Ability to “figure out” and research problems independently, and come up with viable solution(s) that work within our landscape.

Testing of new releases of the application for production environment.

Physical Demands
  • Duties of this position are performed in a normal office with exposure to manufacturing environments.
  • Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data
  • Repetitive manual movements are frequently required (e.g. data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc).
  • Basic manufacturing system knowledge.

The range described in this posting is an estimate by the Company, and may change based on several factors, including but not limited to a change in the duties covered by the job posting, or the credentials, experience or geographic jurisdiction of the successful candidate.

The hourly wage is determined by the years of study completed and is non-negotiable as per company policy.

Hourly Wage: $23-30 CAD/hr

Area: IT Global Digital Factory

Start Date: May 2027

Location: 5140 Yonge Street, Toronto

Experience: No Formal Experience Required.

Education: Currently enrolled in a University Co-op/Internship program completing 3rd year of a 4 year program in an Computer Engineering or Computer Science program.
