Job summary

Sun Life Financial is seeking a Facilities Coordinator Co-op for a 4‑month term (Winter 2027, Jan–Apr 2027). The role is on-site and requires bilingual French/English, with Reliability Status clearance.

Enrolled in a Facilities Management or Design program, you will support CRE with building management, move requests, and AutoCAD updates. You’ll collaborate across Sun Life’s Workplace Solutions and business units, attending strategy meetings and contributing to major initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bilingual in French and English, spoken and written.
  • Reliability Status Clearance required.
  • Enrolled in a Facilities Management or Design program.
  • AutoCAD fluency.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Flexible to manage a rapidly changing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Facilities Manager in building management.
  • Ensure completion of work requests in a satisfactory manner.
  • Building Condition reviews.
  • AutoCAD updates to floor plans.
  • Attend strategy and project meetings for major initiatives and construction projects.
  • Work with CRE and other groups on projects.

Job Description:

Length of term: 4 months (Winter 2027) January - April 2027

In Person: This co-op opportunity is fully in person as an essential employee on site. This opportunity is available to students with a graduation date of April 2027 or later

Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, the Facilities Coordinator, Co-op will support the Corporate Real Estate (CRE) team, Workplace Solutions and provide on-site support to business partners with facilities requests, moves and general services.

What will you do?
  • Assist the Facilities Manager in building management
  • Ensure completion of work requests in a satisfactory manner
  • Building Condition reviews
  • AutoCAD updates to floor plans
  • Attend strategy and project meetings for major initiatives and construction projects
  • Work and assist other groups within CRE
  • Opportunity to work with other business units within Sun Life on specific projects (GIGS)
What do you need to succeed?
  • Bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for the frequent interactions with English and French‑speaking colleagues or internal partners across Canada and worldwide.
  • This role requires Reliability Status Clearance. In addition to a law enforcement inquiry and a credit check, as part of your application, the Government of Canada will ask if you lived or travelled outside of Canada for 6-consecutive months during the last 5 years, and you must account for all activities during this time.
  • Important: Obtaining Reliability Status Clearance within a reasonable amount of time is a condition required to start employment for this role at Sun Life.
  • Enrolment in a Facilities Management or Design program

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted for. The Base Pay which you will be considered for will vary depending on the Campus program you are selected for.
