Job summary

Sun Life Financial in Canada is offering a 4-month co-op in Facilities Coordination, onsite January 2027. You will support the Corporate Real Estate team with facility requests, moves and general services, gaining hands-on experience in building management.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in a Facilities Management or Design program, with AutoCAD fluency and strong MS Office skills. A Reliability Status clearance is required, and the organization offers a hybrid-friendly environment.

Job Description

Length of term: 4 months (Winter 2027) January - April 2027 In Person: This co-op opportunity is fully in person as an essential employee on site. This opportunity is available to students with a graduation date of April 2027 or later.

Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, the Facilities Coordinator, Co-op will support the Corporate Real Estate (CRE) team, Workplace Solutions and provide on-site support to business partners with facilities requests, moves and general services.

What will you do?

• Assist the Facilities Manager in building management
• Ensure completion of work requests in a satisfactory manner
• Building Condition reviews
• AutoCAD updates to floor plans
• Attend strategy and project meetings for major initiatives and construction projects
• Work and assist other groups within CRE
• Opportunity to work with other business units within Sun Life on specific projects (GIGS)

What do you need to succeed?

This role requires Reliability Status Clearance. In addition to a law enforcement inquiry and a credit check, as part of your application, the Government of Canada will ask if you lived or travelled outside of Canada for 6-consecutive months during the last 5 years, and you must account for all activities during this time. Important: Obtaining Reliability Status Clearance within a reasonable amount of time is a condition required to start employment for this role at Sun Life.
