Job description

The Opportunity

Keyano College's Sport & Wellness Centre requires Part Time Guest Services Attendants. These positions work in a high-energy, fast-paced environment. The Guest Services Attendant reports directly to the Guest Services Coordinator. You will be responsible for the day-to-day activities related to greeting and receiving our members, staff, and Keyano College students, maintaining a clean and welcoming facility, and assisting with special events.

Note: This is not a remote work opportunity; you will be required to work on campus and relocate to Fort McMurray, AB.

Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Answer incoming calls, file, and process memberships and program information through Activenet software.
  2. Conduct facility tours, noting equipment and facility maintenance and damage, organizing equipment, and cleaning fitness centre equipment.
  3. Manage general maintenance of equipment, including setup and teardown for events.
  4. Monitor field houses, track, fitness centre, and enforce facility policies.
  5. Assist with canteen operations when needed.
  6. Maintain a high level of customer service to ensure the facility is a welcoming and safe space.
Qualifications
  1. Minimum grade 12 education or GED.
  2. Must be proficient in English.
  3. Must be a current Keyano Student.
  4. Experience in exceptional customer service, event setup and teardown, and sports knowledge.
  5. Ability to multi-task and communicate openly with co-workers and guests.
  6. Familiarity with sports or personal fitness.
  7. Competent in Microsoft Office.
  8. Must be able to lift 50lbs.
  9. Standard First Aid- CPR-level C is considered an asset.
  10. Availability on weekends and evenings, with preference given to candidates with Friday evening (3pm-11pm) and Saturday availability.
  11. Previous experience in sports, with preference for Basketball, Volleyball, and Soccer.
  12. Familiarity with Activenet software is considered an asset.
  13. Pro Serve certification is considered an asset.
Compensation and Benefits

CUPE Student Rate - $16.20 per hour.
