Job summary

POPULAR STUCCO WIRING LIMITED is hiring a stucco plasterer on-site in Surrey, BC. This permanent full-time role requires 2 years to less than 3 years of plastering experience and a secondary school diploma. English is required; LMIA is under review.

The position offers $28.20 per hour for 35–40 hours per week with shift flexibility. Work will be in both commercial and residential settings with opportunity to contribute to youth employment initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of plastering experience.
  • On-site construction work in commercial and residential settings.
  • Ability to read basic workmanship instructions and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Apply successive coats of plaster and sand seams and joints.
  • Apply, level and smooth coats of plaster.
  • Clean and prepare surfaces for plastering.
  • Cure freshly plastered surfaces and protect work.
  • Install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
  • Fill joints and cracks with joint compound using a trowel.
  • Finish corners and decorative designs as required.
  • Mix plaster ingredients to desired consistency.
  • Mould ornamental plaster panels, cornices, and trim.
  • Trowel or spray coats of stucco over exteriors of buildings.

  • Finish corners and angles and create decorative designs in finish coat, if required
  • Mix plaster ingredients to desired consistency
  • Mould and install ornamental plaster panels, cornices and trim
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry
  • Spray acoustic or texture materials over walls and ceilings
  • Tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound
  • Trowel or spray coats of stucco over exteriors of buildings to form weatherproof surfaces
  • Erect and install scaffolding, falsework and other working platforms
