Job summary

Uniserve Communications Corporation is seeking a hands-on Field Technician to join our growing team in Canada. The role combines structured cabling, wireless internet installation and service, and tower climbing, with a strong emphasis on customer interaction.

The successful candidate will work outdoors, troubleshoot equipment, and update the CRM promptly after each job. This full-time position offers on-the-job training and the opportunity to develop technical skills and certifications.

Qualifications

• Valid G Driver’s License required.
• Comfortable working at heights and climbing towers up to 160 feet.
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
• Able to use hand and power tools.
• Reliable, organized and safety-conscious.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Experience in cabling, telecommunications, wireless, networking, construction or related field is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, repair, and troubleshoot Cat6, fiber, wireless equipment, antennas, access points, cameras, and AV equipment.
• Install and maintain wireless internet equipment at customer locations.
• Climb communication towers up to 160 feet to install and service wireless equipment.
• Perform signal strength, continuity, and cable testing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve field technical issues.
• Maintain tools, equipment, inventory, and company vehicles.
• Communicate professionally with customers and explain completed work.
• Document work and update the company CRM within one hour of completing jobs.
• Complete required safety and technical training.
