Job summary

Merc Audio LLC in Canada seeks a Structured Cabling Installation Technician to support project managers, review blueprints, and install low voltage cabling (CAT5E/6/6A, fiber, coaxial). Build telecom rooms, label cables, and ensure safety while documenting work and outcomes.

You will work with the installation team on project layouts, ensure quality control, and assist with complete installations across mixed environments.

Qualifications

• Experience with low voltage cabling systems is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Install low voltage cabling including voice, data, CCTV, paging.
• Build-out telecom rooms and install cable supports.
• Label cables and document work completed, plus site progress.
• Terminate outlets and ensure clean terminations and labeling.
• Follow safety protocols and contribute to post-project quality control.
• Read construction plans and assist with project layouts and designs.
