Job summary

A leading telecommunications services provider in Ottawa is looking for a Structured Cabling Installation Technician to install structured cabling and optical fiber. Candidates should have a valid Ontario 'G' driver's license and strong attention to detail. Qualifications

• Valid Ontario 'G' driver's license and access to a personal vehicle.
• Knowledge of Belden, Panduit and Corning design products.
• Working at Heights and Fall Arrest Certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Install structured cabling and optical fiber according to requirements.
• Label cables according to defined standards.
• Perform necessary tests after installation.
• Maintain strong customer relations through daily contact.

Skills

Cabling and/or installation experience

Computer skills and proficiency in a Windows environment

Ability to communicate effectively

Attention to detail

Ability to organize work and consistently meet deadlines

Education

Completion of post-secondary education
