Job summary
Fero International Inc. is seeking skilled welders to fabricate and repair structural steel components in a fast-paced environment in Canada. You will read blueprints, layout reference points, and fit parts for assemblies while operating cranes and welding equipment.
The role requires experience with FCAW or CWB-certified positions, the ability to work overtime, and a strong focus on safety and quality. Health benefits and growth opportunities are provided.
Qualifications
- Experience welding and fabricating structural assemblies.
- Ability to read blueprints and measure with metric/imperial.
- Experience with rigging and overhead cranes.
- Current FCAW or CWB certification is an asset.
- Strong problem-solving and teamwork abilities.
Responsibilities
- Weld or repair components per blueprints and work orders.
- Lay out reference points on structural steel according to plans.
- Operate cranes, rigging and hoists to move materials.
- Set up and operate welding equipment (flux-cored arc welding).
- Maintain safe work environment and report issues to supervision.
- Document tasks and keep accurate records.
