Job summary

PTW Energy Services in Calgary is seeking a Structural Steel Fitter for day shift to join our fabrication team. You will interpret drawings, lay out heavy components, and assemble to final stage with emphasis on safety and precision.

The role requires operating torches, grinders, drills, and punches, rigging and moving materials, and maintaining organized work areas, in a fast-paced shop environment. 1+ years of experience preferred, Red Seal assets are a plus.

Qualifications

• 1+ years commercial/industrial experience.
• Interprovincial Trade Certification (Red Seal) assets.
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Interpret engineering drawings and plan material cutting sequences.
• Prepare, lay out, and detail heavy metal components to specification.
• Set up and operate torches, grinders, drills, and punches.
• Fit, torch cut, assemble, and install fabricated components to final stage.
• Safely rig and move materials while maintaining organized, compliant work areas.

Role Summary:

We are currently hiring Structural Steel Fitters for full-time positions in our steel fabrication shop in Calgary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret engineering drawings and plan efficient material selection and cutting sequences
• Prepare, lay out, and detail heavy metal components to specification
• Set up and operate metalworking equipment, including torches, grinders, drills, and punches
• Fit, torch cut, assemble, and install fabricated components to final stage
• Safely rig and move materials while maintaining organized, compliant work areas

Qualifications / Requirements:

• 1+ years commercial/industrial experience
• Welding courses and Interprovincial Trade Certification (Red Seal) considered assets
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
