Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary geoscience program for full duration of coop term.
• Interest in structural geology, rock mass characterization, or geotechnical applications.
• Curiosity about machine learning, computer vision, or geoscience automation.
• Familiarity with downhole imaging (televiewer) is an asset.
• Strong attention to detail with data validation focus.
• Comfort working with large datasets and technical software.
• Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Be a safety‑minded team member, uphold safety and environmental rules.
• Support ML and computer vision workflows for drill core logging and televiewer interpretation.
• Prepare training and evaluation datasets for ML model development.
• Test and validate automated logging results and assess data quality issues.
• Contribute to developing workflows for integrating automated tools into projects.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to project team.
• Assist integration of structural data into 3D geological models.
• Support additional structural or geotechnical tasks as needed.
