Job summary

Morson Edge in North York, Ontario is seeking a Structural Engineer to analyze and document pipe support designs for a nuclear generating station. The role involves steel framing, bolted or welded connections, and attachments to a steel-plated superstructure.

Qualifications

• Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• Experience with structural analysis and steel design, including bolted and welded connections.
• Proficiency with GT STRUDL.
• Experience with seismic analysis and ASME BPVC Section III, Subsection NF.
• Familiarity with CISC steel section properties and nuclear generating station projects is preferred.

• Account for the effects of piping and superstructure temperatures on material properties.
• Prepare clear engineering calculations and supporting documentation.
