Job summary

Tetra Tech Canada Inc. in Pickering, ON is seeking an Intermediate Structural Engineer to join our CNU Division. You will work on diverse projects, collaborating with industry experts to deliver safe, reliable structures.

The role emphasizes hands-on design for concrete and steel, experience with AutoCAD and STAAD Pro, and the ability to liaise with discipline leads, project managers, vendors and clients.

Qualifications

• Registered or eligible to register with the PEO as a P.Eng.
• Seven (7) years of related engineering experience is considered an asset.
• Experience with heavy industrial structures and power generation is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Multitasking and the ability to perform design for large or small projects is an asset.
• Document and track project tasks and related design documents (strong organizational skills).
• Liaise with other discipline leads, project managers, vendors, contractors and clients to facilitate smooth flow of information for preliminary and detailed design and provide design clarifications during construction.
• Must have strong computer-oriented skills (Autocad, MathCad, MS Office, Numerical Methods Solutions).
• Proficiency in STAAD Pro Software for Structural Analysis.
• Hands-on design experience for concrete and steel structures, preferably in power generation, with consulting engineering experience.
• Must be able to obtain a security clearance.
