Job summary

Associated Engineering invites an experienced Structural Engineer-in-Training to join our Calgary office. You will engage in field work, design, contract administration, and site reviews across Alberta, developing skills across project delivery.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution.
  • Registered, or eligible for registration as an Engineer‑In‑Training with APEGA.
  • Strong commitment to self‑development and continuous learning.
  • Experience of structural analysis and structural behaviour. Building and/or industrial structural design experience is an asset.
  • Knowledge of construction methods and applicable design codes.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a greater team.
  • Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in field work, design, contract administration, and site reviews.
  • Contribute to projects focused on delivery and management of infrastructure and buildings in Alberta.
  • Develop career path toward technical leadership, project management, or client management based on interests and qualifications.

The opportunity

Associated Engineering, a proudly Canadian, Employee-owned Company is seeking an experienced and dedicated Structural Engineer-in-Training to join our team in our Calgary office. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team active on several exciting projects throughout Alberta. You will have the opportunity to participate in field work, design, contract administration, and site reviews. This position will present many opportunities and our expectation will be for the candidate to develop proficient skills in all areas of project delivery.
