Job summary

RRC is seeking a Structural Engineer I to help advance energy projects from our US/Canada offices, with remote work available. Join a multi-disciplinary firm focused on renewable energy and infrastructure, delivering design and analysis across projects in the U.S. and Canada.

You will assist senior engineers with design tasks, review drawings, model structures, apply codes such as IBC and AISC, travel for short site visits, and grow toward professional licensure.

Qualifications

  • B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis.
  • 0–4 years of engineering experience.
  • FE exam completion (EIT) with licensure goal.
  • Energy industry exp. preferred but not required.
  • Interest in reinforced concrete preferred.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

  • Take directions from senior engineers to assist with design tasks.
  • Review fabrication/shop drawings for completion and errors.
  • Model structures using finite element methods for design.
  • Review design codes (IBC, ACI, ASCE 7, AISC) for standards.
  • Perform value engineering analyses for cost efficiency.
  • Occasional project site visits to inspect construction quality.
