Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for various building types, including residential, commercial, and industrial structures.
• Develop detailed structural drawings , specifications, and reports using industry-standard software.
• Design structural systems using materials such as steel, concrete, and timber.
• Collaborate effectively with architectural teams and other disciplines to integrate structural requirements into overall building design.
• Ensure designs comply with all relevant building codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Review shop drawings and respond to contractor inquiries during the construction phase.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in building structural design.Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., Revit Structure, ETABS, SAP2000).
• Strong understanding of building codes (e.g., SANS) and structural principles.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for remote team dynamics.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration is highly desirable.
