Job summary

Stantec in Markham, Ontario, is seeking a Structural Designer to join the Energy and Resources Design team. You will perform modeling, drafting and structural design for a variety of projects in North America and beyond.

You will collaborate with engineers and designers, deliver on time, mentor junior staff, and follow Stantec's safety culture. This role offers global project exposure and opportunities to grow professionally within a leading design firm.

Qualifications

• Six years in industrial/engineering consulting or construction
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD or similar platforms
• Knowledge of CAD/BIM tools and workflows with point cloud data and GIS
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Graduate of Technical/College in Design/Drafting or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Understand and apply Stantec Safety Culture and health and safety rules
• Perform modeling, drafting and structural design tasks for a wide variety of projects
• Complete project deliverables on budget and schedule
• Collaborate with engineers, designers and project teams to produce quality deliverables
• Mentor junior designers and contribute to career development
• Conduct quality assurance on own projects per QC guidelines
• Attend project coordination meetings
• Travel to local project sites as needed
