Job summary

Stantec in Canada is seeking a Structural Designer to join the Energy and Resources Design team. You will work on projects across North America and beyond, focusing on technical growth and delivering high-quality design solutions with multidisciplinary teams.

Under supervision of a Senior Designer or Engineer, you will contribute to modeling and drafting, mentor junior designers, and ensure deliverables meet budget and schedule while upholding safety culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years in industrial consulting or industrial env.
• Proficiency in BIM tools and CAD software.
• Experience with Revit content creation and parameters.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to lead projects and mentor others.
• Technical diploma in design/drafting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand and apply Stantec Safety Culture policies.
• Model, draft, and perform structural design.
• Complete project deliverables on budget and schedule.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project teams.
• Mentor junior designers and coach team members.
• Conduct QA/QC on own projects.
• Attend project coordination meetings.
• Travel to local project sites as needed.
