Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Structural Designer to join the Energy and Resources Design team in Canada. You will perform modeling, drafting and structural design for a variety of projects across North America and around the world, under the supervision of a Senior Designer or Engineer.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality solutions and support your professional growth. Ideal candidates have at least six years in industrial consulting or a related field, strong CAD/BIM

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in engineering consulting or the construction industry.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Revit and AutoCAD, or similar platforms.
• Ability to develop Revit content such as custom families and managing parameters.
• Knowledge in CAD/BIM tools such as Recap, Civil 3D, Navisworks, ACC/Forma, Inventor and Reality Capture workflows.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong understanding of structural design concepts and teamwork, including remote collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Understand and apply Stantec Safety Culture and Health & Safety rules for projects.
• Model, draft, and perform structural design tasks for diverse projects.
• Deliver project work within budget and schedule.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project teams to produce quality deliverables.
• Mentor junior designers and contribute to your own career development.
• Conduct QA/QC on your projects following Stantec guidelines.
• Attend project coordination meetings with internal teams.
• Travel to local project sites as needed.
