Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Structural Designer to join the Energy and Resources Design team in North America. You will perform modeling, drafting and structural design on a variety of projects, collaborating with engineers, designers and project teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

You will mentor junior designers and participate in QA/QC and project coordination while traveling to local sites as needed. Minimum six years in industrial consulting or construction and proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD

Qualifications

• Six or more years in industrial consulting or construction environments.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD or similar tools.
• Ability to develop Revit content and manage parameters.
• Knowledge of CAD/BIM tools including Recap, Civil 3D, Navisworks, ACC/Forma, Inventor.
• Proficiency in MS Office and strong communication skills.
• Strong teamwork and desire to lead projects and mentor others.
• Graduate of a technical/college design or drafting program.

Responsibilities

• Understand and apply Stantec Safety Culture and Health & Safety rules.
• Modeling, drafting and structural design across diverse projects.
• Deliver project outputs on budget and schedule.
• Collaborate with engineers and designers to produce quality deliverables.
• Mentor junior designers and contribute to career development.
• Perform QA/QC on own projects per guidelines.
• Attend project coordination meetings and travel to local sites.
