Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Structural Designer to join the Energy and Resources Design team in Canada. You will work on projects across North America and globally, performing modeling, drafting and structural design under supervision, while growing technical skills in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

The role emphasizes teamwork, remote collaboration, and leadership with opportunities to mentor others and contribute to a wide range of projects in the energy sector.

Qualifications

• Six (6+) years of experience in the industrial consulting industry or industrial environment.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Revit and AutoCAD, or similar platforms.
• Ability to develop Revit content such as custom families and managing parameters.
• Knowledge of CAD/BIM tools such as Autodesk Recap, Civil 3D, Navisworks, ACC/Forma, Inventor (preferred).
• Proficiency in MS Office and strong written/verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Understand and apply Stantec Safety Culture and Health & Safety rules.
• Perform modeling, drafting and structural design tasks for diverse projects.
• Complete project deliverables on budget and schedule.
• Collaborate with engineers and designers to deliver quality designs.
• Mentor junior designers and contribute to career development.
• Provide QA/QC on own projects per guidelines.
• Attend project coordination meetings with internal teams.
• Travel to local project sites as needed.
