Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Structural Designer to join the Energy and Resources Design team in Ontario. The role offers opportunities to work on a variety of projects in North America and globally, with a focus on technical growth under supervision of a Senior Designer or Engineer.

This role involves modeling, drafting, and structural design tasks, collaborating with engineers and designers, delivering on schedule, coaching junior staff, and participating in QA/QC.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in engineering consulting or construction.
• Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD.
• Experience with CAD/BIM tools and reality capture.
• Strong written and verbal communication; teamwork focus.
• Technical or college design/drafting qualification.

Responsibilities

• Understand and apply Stantec Safety Culture and health and safety rules.
• Perform modeling, drafting and structural design tasks.
• Deliver project deliverables on budget and schedule.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project teams.
• Coach and mentor junior designers.
• Conduct QA/QC on own projects.
• Attend project coordination meetings.
• Travel to local project sites as needed.
