Your Key Responsibilities

• Creates engineering drawings in AutoCAD and MicroStation, based on sketches and other design information provided by others.
• Ensures that drawings are prepared based on specific project drafting standards.
• Ensures accuracy of scale and confirms the accuracy of geometric information presented on drawings.
• Performs quantity takeoffs based on drawing information.

Your Capabilities and Credentials

• Ability to register with OACETT as an Associate in pursuit of the C.E.T. designation.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and MicroStation software for bridge/structural drafting and design.
• Ability to visualize and project 3D objects into 2D views (and vice versa).
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and work in a group environment.
• Knowledge of Quality and Drawing Management Systems.

Education and Experience

• Technical College Diploma in Structural Engineering Technology (or equivalent work experience).
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a structural CAD role, preferably in bridge design.
