St. Joseph's Health Care London invites applications for a Stroke/Neurological Rehabilitation Allied Health role in a Parkwood Institute setting in London, ON.

This position is part-time with a job-share arrangement, requiring interprofessional collaboration to deliver comprehensive rehabilitation to patients post-stroke and with neurological conditions. The role emphasizes teamwork, hands-on rehabilitation, and adherence to safety standards, with weekend shifts included in the schedule.

Qualificações

• Current Physiotherapy Assistant and Occupational Therapy Assistant diploma or dual OTA/PTA diploma with placement in each discipline
• Knowledge of OHSA safety culture in health care
• Stroke and neurological conditions knowledge and consequences
• Anatomy, physiology and disabilities understanding and impact on tasks
• Experience with rehabilitation programs including functional skills and mobility retraining and assistive devices
• Excellent interpersonal and communication with patients, caregivers and care team
• Able to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team
• Able to meet physical demands including lifts, transfers and ADL tasks
• Able to use computer systems (Outlook, Word)
• Keen observation skills and self-directed work style

Responsabilidades

• Deliver rehabilitation to patients who have had a stroke or other neurological conditions
• Collaborate within an interprofessional rehabilitation team
• Support ADL/IADL training, mobility, and assistive device fabrication as needed
• Participate in a weekend rotation and scheduling changes
