Job description

Panoply Media is a digital-native, 360° media buying agency driven by a simple philosophy: Inspire. Engage. Repeat. We specialize in delivering media innovation for ambitious brands, harnessing consumer-centric insights and actionable market trends to amplify voices across all channels—from TV, Radio, and OOH to Digital, CTV, and beyond. With a diverse client portfolio spanning Education, Government, Entertainment, Pharmaceutical, Travel & Transportation, CPG, Finance, and Home Restoration, we create data-driven storytelling that resonates.

OUR VALUES

Passion for the Industry: We live and breathe media. Our team is driven by genuine enthusiasm for creating campaigns that make an impact.

Client-Centric Excellence: We're committed to providing the best campaigns and experiences to our clients, ensuring every touchpoint is strategically crafted.

Innovation & Adaptability: As digital natives and 360° media thinkers, we embrace emerging channels and technologies to stay ahead of the curve.

Collaborative Partnership: We work hand-in-hand with creative agencies and clients to build campaigns collaboratively, amplifying brand voices across all channels.

THE ROLE

We are looking for a Media Strategist who brings experience in client servicing, campaign management, partner relationship building, digital media and thought leadership. Curious, passionate and always on the lookout to test new innovative technologies, you'll be the trusted day-to-day contact for our managed accounts — building and executing strategic, competitive and creative media plans that drive client KPIs.

Reporting into the Director of Media Strategy, you'll operate with authority to make plan recommendations within agreed parameters, while leaning on senior leadership for guidance and approval on portfolio-level decisions. We believe in the mid-funnel and don't rinse and repeat — we always push the envelope to find new opportunities where other brands are not yet active. If that energy sounds like home, this is your playground.

STRATEGIC PILLARS

1. Strategy & Thought Leadership: Build data-driven media strategies grounded in client KPIs, category knowledge, product insights and competitive landscape — and push past rinse-and-repeat into emerging channel opportunities.

2. Client Partnership & Service: Become the trusted daily contact for managed accounts, develop intimate knowledge of each client's business and build long-term relationships with clients, creative agencies and media partners.

3. Operational Excellence: Own critical paths, internal media briefings, MPAs, POs, budgets and billing accuracy — keeping campaigns delivered on time, on budget and with consistency across internal teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of assigned clients including detailed category, product knowledge and competitive landscape.
  • Establish and develop campaign strategies based on client KPIs and objectives, substantiated with data.
  • Support the Director of Media Strategy on the management of key clients.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of each client's business, category and competitive environment.
  • Provide regular updates and POVs on new opportunities and shifts in the media landscape.
  • Develop internal media briefing documents and accurate work-back schedules / critical paths.
  • Communicate client changes to internal team members to ensure consistency across strategy, planning, buying and creative.
  • Liaise between clients, internal teams, agency partners and media partners throughout the lifecycle of every campaign.
  • Take ownership to ensure all campaigns are executed as planned and remain on-budget.
  • Prepare MPAs and ensure client Purchase Orders are received prior to work starting.
  • Ensure the billing process is completed on time, accurately, and within approved budget.
  • Own ongoing budget tracking and flag critical issues to the team.
  • Issue weekly status reports to keep the Director and broader team informed on account activity.
  • Lead or organize creative media development sessions with internal teams and creative agency partners.
  • Oversee all aspects of media opportunities within the planning process through to final execution — including research, negotiation, contract development and follow-up.
  • Access and evaluate appropriate media research reports (Vividata, Numeris and others); make clear, well-substantiated recommendations to clients.
  • Deliver high-quality campaign presentations and post-mortems, documenting plan executions and results.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all client information throughout and beyond the engagement.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • 2-3 years of experience in client services, media planning and buying, or an equivalent account-service role with a track record of planning integrated campaigns.
  • Deep understanding of both traditional and digital media ecosystems, and solid knowledge of agency and digital processes.
  • Strong online knowledge — both planning and reporting — and willingness to keep advancing with tools such as Google Analytics and social/ad platforms.
  • Familiarity with Direct-Response categories is a strong asset.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office — especially Excel and PowerPoint — with demonstrated fiscal management skills.
  • Strong presentation, organizational, time-management and negotiation skills; able to manage many projects and tasks at once with close attention to detail.
  • Bilingual (French / English) preferred with highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills — and a genuine appetite for listening.
  • Post-secondary education in business, marketing or advertising (College/University degree is an asset).
  • A mix of humility for today and ambition for tomorrow — comfortable starting as a team of one and growing into leadership as the agency scales.
WHAT WE OFFER
  • Hybrid work model (2-3 days in Montreal office)
  • Comprehensive benefits package after 3 months
  • Ability to work from abroad
  • Summer hours
  • Diverse clients and evolving digital challenges
