Job summary

Beutel Goodman is seeking a strategic and collaborative leader to join our team as VP, Enterprise Risk Management. This role leads the enterprise risk program, strengthens governance, and provides independent oversight of risk and controls.

The successful candidate will communicate clearly with senior leaders and promote transparency and continuous improvement. The position reports to the Legal, Risk & Compliance team and requires extensive experience in risk management, strong governance

Qualifications

• University degree and professional designation such as FRM, PRM, CFA, CPA, CIA, or equivalent.
• 15+ years of experience in risk management, audit, compliance, or related leadership roles within investment management or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of risk management principles, governance frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Sound judgment, integrity, and the ability to influence and collaborate across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead and enhance the firm's enterprise risk management framework and governance practices.
• Provide risk reporting, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership and shareholders.
• Analyse risk and business data to assist senior management with governance and strategic planning.
• Support risk identification, assessment, monitoring, mitigation, and escalation activities across the organization.
• Conduct independent reviews of key risks, controls, policies, and processes.
• Oversee key risk programs, including cybersecurity, business continuity, third-party risk management, and emerging risk initiatives.
• Promote continuous improvement and a culture of transparency, accountability, and effective risk management.
