Job summary

AutoCanada is seeking a Used Vehicle Acquisitions Specialist in Calgary, AB. You will source quality pre‑owned vehicles from private parties, appraise and negotiate purchases, and collaborate with the used car team to recondition inventory for resale.

The role requires 2+ years in the automotive industry, valid Alberta license and AMVIC license, plus willingness to work days/evenings/weekends. Competitive compensation and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience with vehicle acquisitions and auction processes.
• 2+ years of experience in the automotive industry.
• Must be 18 years of age or older to meet insurance requirements for operating a motor vehicle
• Valid Alberta driver s license
• AMVIC license required

Responsibilities

• Sourcing quality used vehicles from public/private sellers and coordinating with the used car department.
• Appraise vehicles, assess conditions, negotiate prices, and ensure timely purchases.
• Make cold calls to generate leads and convert inquiries into dealership visits.
• Schedule in‑person appraisals and purchases, maintaining profitability.
• Provide professional, prompt, and courteous communication with customers.
• Track interest in vehicles not in stock and stay informed on market values.
