A leading sports equipment company in Canada is seeking a Transport Operations Manager to oversee and optimize transportation processes for efficient deliveries. You will manage operational escalations, allocation of shipments, and coordinate with various stakeholders including carriers and distribution centers. Ideal candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in logistics and a Bachelor's degree in a related field. The role requires strong communication skills and attention to detail, along with travel requirements of 20%.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in logistics/transportation.
• Bachelor's degree in logistics/transportation/supply chain or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee & optimize transportation processes for efficient on-time deliveries.
• Act as the first level of escalation for transport-related issues.
• Conduct regular operational meetings with carriers and distribution centers.
• Manage allocation of shipments to carriers and routes.
• Monitor and track shipments weekly to resolve potential delays.

Skills

Knowledge of supply chain management and distribution chain

Knowledge of transportation modes (Sea, Air, Road freight, Parcel)

Fluent in English

Microsoft Office skills

Knowledge of Incoterms and Customs processes

Attention to details

Ability to work as a team member

Education

Bachelor's degree in logistics/transportation/supply chain
