Job summary

Canada Life is seeking a Manager of Strategic Sourcing with a technology focus to partner with management, develop negotiation and contract strategies for high‑risk, complex initiatives, and drive supplier consolidation.

You will analyze data, prepare reports for senior management, and lead projects that reduce total cost of ownership while managing supplier risk in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years negotiating technology contracts.
• Experience leading complex sourcing programs.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multi-stakeholder technology contracts.
• Post-secondary degree required.

Responsibilities

• Partner with management to develop negotiation and contract strategies for high-risk, complex sourcing initiatives.
• Influence sourcing decisions, drive supplier consolidation, and lead cost savings and cost avoidance outcomes.
• Develop and implement strategies to support business objectives that provide cost-effective, sustainable solutions to Canada Life businesses that optimize total value generated from our supplier base.
• Gather and analyze data to create playbooks and strategies supporting various business models for services either contemplated or currently under contract.
• Prepare report and presentations for senior management.
