Job summary

General Dynamics Mission Systems–Canada seeks a Subcontracts Program Manager to lead development, procurement, and management of complex aircraft systems with subcontractors. The role spans pre- and post-contract lifecycle, coordinating with program, engineering, supply chain, commercial, quality, and configuration management teams.

The incumbent will manage risk, optimize supplier performance, and ensure airworthiness and integration compliance across multiple platforms, including fixed-wing

Qualifications

• Experience managing subcontracts, contracts, suppliers, or related program activities.
• Experience managing major contracts or complex subcontract work packages, including cost, schedule, scope, performance, risk, and change control.
• Working knowledge of project planning, financial management, earned value concepts, and supplier performance reporting.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders; negotiate solutions; and maintain customer satisfaction.
• Ability to work with engineering teams to analyze complex technical designs and integration approaches.
• Knowledge of project management and systems integration practices for aircraft subsystems.

Responsibilities

• Identify, assess, and develop supplier and subcontractor relationships aligned with program requirements.
• Support RFP development, including requirements, evaluation criteria, milestones, and project management expectations.
• Develop subcontract SOWs, data requirements, and supplier deliverables.
• Evaluate bid responses for cost, schedule, scope, and risk.
• Prepare subcontract cost, schedule, and performance monitoring updates.
• Coordinate with PMs and technical leads on risk and opportunities.
• Lead cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery and issue resolution.
