Westinghouse Electric Company LLC in Canada is seeking a Project Cost Controller to provide financial support across engineering and project-based work, ensuring planning, forecasting, cost control, and financial performance throughout the project lifecycle.

Reporting to the Senior Project Portfolio Manager, the role will maintain budgets and forecasts, monitor project performance, and develop dashboards using Power BI and Excel.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in project controls, cost management, forecasting, budgeting, financial reporting, project management, or related disciplines within a project-based environment.
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent.
• Experience with project cost control methodologies, forecasting techniques, variance analysis, and financial performance measurement.
• Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and project performance reporting.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience developing dashboards and reports using Power BI or similar business intelligence tools.

Responsibilities

• Support project budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, variance analysis, and financial performance monitoring.
• Maintain accurate forecasts for project costs, revenue, margins, and resource requirements while identifying and addressing discrepancies.
• Monitor project and portfolio performance, highlighting risks, opportunities, and corrective actions.
• Consolidate financial data and prepare portfolio reports, forecasts, and performance summaries for business leadership.
• Develop dashboards, KPIs, and reporting tools using Power BI, Excel, and other business intelligence platforms.
• Analyse project cost data and actual performance to support business planning, portfolio projects, and bid development activities.
• Lead continuous improvement through reporting automation, process optimisation, and the development of standardised project controls tools and procedures.
