Job summary

Kassen Recruitment seeks a Project Accountant to manage financials for multiple development projects. You will ensure accurate budgeting, reporting, and project accounting throughout project lifecycles, collaborating with finance and operations teams in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in project accounting within construction or real estate, strong Excel skills, and experience with ERP systems to support forecasting and financial planning.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• Strong 5+ years of project accounting in construction, real estate, or similar.
• Advanced Excel skills and data analysis for large datasets.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update project budgets; monitor variances and forecast.
• Coordinate with project and construction teams for budgeting and planning.
• Perform full-cycle project accounting: month-end, journal entries, reconciliations, reporting.
• Review project costs, WIP, commitments, and vendor expenditures for accuracy.
• Prepare construction financing draw packages and coordinate with lenders and consultants.
