Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a procurement professional to support our Data Center Solutions team in Canada. You will manage tactical purchasing, build supplier relationships, and ensure optimal pricing while maintaining inventory alignment with project needs.

The role requires a 2-year degree, 5+ years of purchase experience, and strong Excel skills. Moderate travel (about 10%) is expected, with a collaborative safety-driven work environment.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree in Purchasing/Supply Chain Management or related field.
• 5+ years of related purchasing experience in industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Experience with sheet metal, fabrication, and purchasing.
• Proven intermediate Excel skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Willing to travel – 10%.

Responsibilities

• Procure commodities, supplies, equipment, and services for the organization.
• Maintain inventory levels and negotiate best prices while building supplier relationships.
• Capture and analyze data, review requisitions, prepare bids, and compare products and prices.
• Coordinate with project engineering and Silent-Aire departments; support procurement processes.
• Update vendor files and price lists; assist with receiving and invoicing processes.
• Support continuous improvement of supply chain systems.
