Job summary

Podtech Data Centre Inc., a member of the IREN Group, is hiring a Purchaser to support procurement across US data centre sites and capital projects. You will source materials, obtain quotes, create PRs/POs, and track orders to ensure uptime and on-time project delivery.

The role emphasizes transactional procurement, accuracy, and responsiveness with collaboration across Operations, Construction/Project, and Inventory functions. Prior data-centre or industrial procurement experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• 2–4 years of purchasing/procurement experience, ideally in construction/capital projects or data centres.
• Experience using ERP systems for PR/PO processing and order management.
• Experience supporting RFQ/RFP processes and bid evaluations.
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple orders and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication; service-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Procurement support for operations and projects, sourcing materials, equipment, tools, and services.
• Obtain vendor quotations and evaluate pricing, lead times, and availability.
• Create/process PRs and POs in the ERP system per policy; ensure accurate part numbers and pricing.
• Monitor open orders and proactively track deliveries to ensure on-time arrival.
• Communicate order status updates to site stakeholders.
• Support capital projects procurement planning and bid/tender activities.
• Coordinate vendor walkthroughs, compile bid comparisons, and assist with award decisions.
• Ensure contract/PO alignment with procurement, finance, and legal where applicable.
• Expedite critical materials and manage supplier commitments; document changes.
• Support project closeout including reconciliations and final invoicing documentation.
• Maintain vendor records in ERP and onboard new vendors with Finance/Procurement teams.
• Collaborate with Inventory/Warehouse for spare parts and stock procurement; coordinate logistics.
